AI in Action: From Ideas to Real Projects

Event

Lectures for students

From October 6–8, the faculty will welcome Diego Gaspar from ESIC Business & Marketing School, Spain – a specialist in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.

Students will have the opportunity to take part in three hands-on sessions exploring how AI can be applied to real-world projects without losing what matters most – critical thinking, creativity, and the human dimension.

The sessions will explore how AI can become a practical tool for working on real projects – from generating ideas and supporting creative tasks to process automation and the use of AI agents. Rather than simply listening, students will actively experiment with AI tools and solutions through practical exercises.

When?

October 6 (Tuesday), 15:30–17:00 – Room 114
October 7 (Wednesday), 13:30–15:00 – Room 210
October 8 (Thursday), 15:30–17:00 – Room 114

Lecture for faculty members

Diego Gaspar will also lead a 90-minute interactive session for faculty members, focusing on how the role of the teacher is changing in the age of AI.

The session will cover:

  • AI tools and assistants for teachers;
  • using AI in classes to encourage students to learn by doing and actively work with AI;
  • redesigning and adapting assignments now that students have access to generative AI;
  • using AI for assessment and feedback, including ethical boundaries and the importance of teacher judgement.

The session will take place on October 9 (Friday) at 12:30, Room 106. Rather than a traditional lecture, Diego will share examples from his own classes, introduce a practical exercise, and leave time for discussion with faculty members.
