Project description:

The aim of the project is to analyze the peculiarities of the conceptualization of climate change in the Lithuanian and English online media.

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.


Project results:

The aim of the project, to analyze the peculiarities of the conceptualization of climate change in the Lithuanian and English media, has been achieved; planned tasks of the project – fulfilled; planned research results – obtained and analyzed.
The parallel study of the conceptualization of climate change contributes to the ever-increasing research on the climate change discourse, which allows us to make stronger conclusions about the perception of the phenomenon, and to recognize the differences in the worldview of cultural groups. Based on this study, it is suggested to carry out research on the conceptualization of climate change in the Lithuanian language by analyzing public, political, academic discourse in juxtaposition with other languages.
