Centre of Educational Competence

Centre of Educational Competence is a nationally recognised, modern, open to the public, socially active centre for collecting experience, improving qualification, and disseminating scientific knowledge and competence.

Accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania (order of 22-02-2017 No. V-96), Centre of Educational Competence of the KTU Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities is an institution which implements qualification trainings for adults, mostly teachers and professionals providing academic support.

Trainings and services

The Centre has 66 institutional-level non-formal education programmes designed to improve the qualifications of educators. The programmes can be carried out traditionally or virtually.

We invite school communities and educators to choose the qualification improvement trainings according to the non-formal education programmes.

Lecturers

The creators and lecturers of the Centre’s training programmes for educators are highly competent university teachers having practical experience in working with teachers. The majority of lecturers are working in the field of Educational Sciences in KTU Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. Since 2016, the Centre creates new teacher training programmes in collaboration with the Dean of Faculty of Chemical Technology, Professor Eugenijus Valatka, the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Assoc. prof. dr. B. Narkevičienė, and Head of the Department of Physics, Professor Giedrius Laukaitis.
