The UNLOCK project – Creativity through game-based learning at higher education – aims to equip HEIs to design, set and facilitate escape room games in their learning experiences, to foster the creativity and other entrepreneurial skills of HEI’s students.
The UNLOCK project will provide the context, process and tools based on a new and innovative learning approach that stimulates entrepreneurial skills in both students and educators, aiming at strengthening employability, creativity and new professional paths.

Research report – how escape rooms can be used for pedagogical purposes in higher education institutions (HE); pedagogical framework – defines the set of knowledge, attitudes and skills needed for HE educators; HE educator profile in game-based activities; national presentations – public partner events presenting the project goals and results; workbook on how to create study activities using gamification methodology; Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for educators on how to create escape rooms for study activities in HE; learning mobilities, testing and validation of MOOC and methodology; MOOC piloting; creation of escape rooms in partner institutions; creation of an online community; recipe book – guidelines and examples on how to create and apply escape rooms in studies for creativity development; final conference.
