“Research reveals that the countries with a larger population of science doctors and masters are more advanced in high technologies, are developing more high added-value products and services. Of course, this factor influences the economy of these countries overall”, says Dr Andrius Vilkauskas the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design.
According to him, the companies, which employ masters and doctors of science, are more open to innovation, are keeping up with the newest research and knowledge, and are closely collaborating with universities.
Research from Georgetown University (USA) reveals that the salary of masters is 0,8 times higher than that of bachelors and the unemployment rate of masters is less by 1 per cent. Similar tendencies are perceived in Europe.
