The International Semiotics Institute at Kaunas University of Technology (www.isisemiotics.eu) would like to invite you to attend a one-week intensive workshop called “User Experience, Semiotics and Cultural Development”, from May 25 to May 29, in the premises of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. The workshop will be conducted by Majid Behboudi, University of Toronto.
In this workshop we will cover all of the newest process in which UXers/product designers use to design products/services coupled with semiotic frameworks.
We will have a Design Challenge which would be on the Topic of “how to increase the interest of citizens around more artistically- and culturally-valuable (less “mainstream”) forms of Lithuanian music”. Such topic will be developed around the case of the cultural association “Largo”, which is exactly trying to promote this kind of music to the citizenship of Kaunas.
We shall divide participants of mixed backgrounds into teams to go through the series of tasks (“Google 5 day sprint”) to provide compelling solutions.
The workshop participation is free, and at the end of it you will receive a certificate of attendance. There will also be a little prize for the best presentation.
The working language will be English.
If interested, please contact us by May 15 at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, study program and faculty you belong to.
